GREATER ROCHESTER LEAH (Loving Education At Home)

Greater Rochester LEAH is a Christian home-schooling support group whose intent is to encourage, inform, and provide fellowship for both home-schooling parents and their children.  As a support group, our purpose is to help you in your God-given responsibility of training your children through home education.  We offer a variety of programs and activities; we encourage you to choose the ones that will most benefit your family.  

GR LEAH has two divisions: The Rochester Rapids Sports and GR LEAH Homeschool Group. We are currently a closed homeschool group. If you are interested in joining us, please contact an administrator at [email protected]. 

We are local chapter of New York State LEAH. When you join a local chapter, you become a member of New York State LEAH. You may join other local LEAH chapters having a dual or secondary membership.

GR LEAH Homeschool Group: 

Our families work together to provide enrichment classes, field trips, family get-togethers, homeschooling support, mom's care, and more! We offer enrichment classes on Fridays in the Fall and Spring with great families who share their talents. If you are interested in participating, please contact an admisinistrator at [email protected].

Our leaders, teachers, coaches and helpers are all volunteers that share their time and talent for which we are so grateful! All families are encouraged to volunteer in some way during the year. We want to be sensitive to those who have a new baby, take care of an aging parent or just find themselves in a busy season. Ask about our opportunities to serve from home! 

As a GR LEAH family you will experience the member benefits below:

• Free attendance at all regularly scheduled programs; participation in some programs may involve a small fee
• Participation in LEAH field trips, gym programs, music programs, graduation and other special activities.
• Eligible for Group Lessons (dependant on room)
• Coverage by liability and sports insurance during LEAH sponsored activities.
• Receipt of a membership directory (not for solicitation or sharing of contained information outside of our group)
• Automatic membership in NY State LEAH for up-to-date news on all that is going on concerning homeschooling (legislation, etc.), through the Leah Messenger, special mailings and e-mails.

Rochester Rapids:

Rochester Rapids has excellent and God-Honoring sports teams for boys and girls for approximately 5th grade and up. Our Coaches are all hard working volunteers. Any LEAH member is eligible to join the Rapids.

Commencement Ceremony:

GR LEAH has a beautiful graduation ceremony and reception every year. All families with seniors are welcome! NYS LEAH members from any chapter are welcome to join our ceremony.
